Admissions Officer - £15.66ph Plus Hol Pay – London

 

Duration: 3 months

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Student Admissions

  • Provide advice and information on admissions policies and processes to potential applicants and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of the policies and practices relating to admissions, ensuring that relevant information is disseminated.
  • Maintain an awareness of visa and immigration rules and country-specific requirements, and how these apply with respect to the Institute’s taught programmes.
  • Maintain an awareness of admissions processes and timeframes of Health Education England (HEE) with respect to Specialist Training Pathways, ensuring information is disseminated and acted on.
  • Coordinate the admissions process for students moving to affiliate programmes.
  • Act as the Institute’s principal liaison to the Admissions Office in all aspects of student recruitment.
  • Administer and coordinate the admissions process for taught programmes

 

Marketing and Recruitment

  • Provide admissions-related management information to the Institute Management, as required.
  • Provide admissions-related information for the online prospectus.
  • Assist with the operation of marketing and recruitment events, including attending conferences and trade shows, as required.

 

Student Support

  • Provide advice and guidance on policies and regulations, particularly in relation to admissions, to enquirers, applicants, and students.
  • Plan, organise and provide administrative support for the enrolment and induction of new taught students.
  • Plan, organise and provide administrative support for welcome events and related activities
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc administrative support for PGT programmes, as requested by the Academic Support Manager
  • Manage the allocation of lockers to new and current students.
  • Coordinate the appointment and training of Student Representatives in liaison with Programme Administrators and Students Union in line with relevant timeframes.
  • Produce and issue accurate CPD Certification and certify and verify students’academic and professional documentation.
  • Act as departmental contact for student surveys and liaise with staff and students to increase response rates.
  • Honarary Contracts and Visitors
  • Coordinate the Honorary Contract/Service Level Agreement process for new students.
  • Coordinate processes for academic visitors, clinical visitors and non-registered fee-paying students.

 

General Administrative Duties

  • Act as first point of contact for internal and external queries, including receiving visitors to the Institute.
  • Resolve and respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and information on relevant policies as appropriate.
  • Attend student, departmental and other promotional events.
  • Attend and participate in committee meetings.

 

 

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working in a customer service environment and commitment to high-quality service delivery.
  • A proactive and practical approach
  • Experience of the Admission processes within a Higher Education setting, including awareness of student recruitment.
  • Prioritise and organise workload in order to meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel and experience of maintaining accurate databases.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team.
