Job Description

 Digital Communications Officer £28,000 - £30,000 Central London

 A great opportunity to join this growing professional membership organisation and enjoy a varied role including responsibility for developing communications content, including copywriting for a range of communications products, and for the development, monitoring and improvement of digital products including the website, stakeholder emails and social media.

 Typically, the role will involve: 

  • Developing content and imagery for all of established platforms and publications, in-house where possible or with external providers where necessary
  • Planning future content and messages, writing articles, press releases and briefing notes and reacting effectively to new or emerging events/issues
  • Design, develop and maintain digital assets and communications activities, with particular focus on the website
  • Gather and analyse data and information to improve the online presence and help tailor content to audiences by developing creative concepts and functional components
  • Commission and manage external agencies to work on digital and communications products
  • Help build a social media profile across all platforms, that is proportionate to a professional body
  • Develop and map user journeys to help users effectively engage with digital content, and to undertake user research and concept testing to help focus the online engagement activities
  • Monitor, measure and report on marketing communications performance
  • Identify and capture any issues with current digital content, structure, functionality and layout 

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to create content for a range of audiences across different digital platforms for a mix of purposes
  • Good working knowledge of website content management systems to publish content
  • Knowledge of email service providers to design, create and send marketing emails
  • An understanding of digital copywriting and publishing
  • Working knowledge of social media reporting tools, email marketing reporting tools and Google Analytics
  • Able to come up with new and innovative communications approaches
  • Good awareness of digital developments and innovations
  • Experience of working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to thrive managing a varied and challenging workload
  • Adept at developing and managing own projects
