Job Description

Hybrid role or office based role.  Open to discuss how this will work with suitable candidates.  Would consider fulltime, part time, workshare.  The most important thing is having the right person for the role.  You can work from wherever you wish but candidates must have flexibility to attend meetings at Head Office in Brighton. 

Based within the People Directorate of a large regulatory body we are looking for an experienced ER Advisor.  Reporting to the Employee Relations Principal, the role holder will be responsible for delivering best practice case management support and advice to leaders, managers and employees.  Alongside the Employee Relations Principal, you will review and refresh, through a continuous improvement lens, and in alignment with the People & Culture Strategy outcomes, ER frameworks, processes, practices, and SLA’s.  

The ideal candidate will demonstrate: 

  • A proven and demonstrable track record of working in an employee relations advisory capacity
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment and an understanding of positive employee relations partnering
  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent
  • Proven experience of delivering accurate and best practice employee relations advice to leaders, managers, and employees
  • The ability to manage own workload, prioritise and make decisions, knowing when to escalate complex cases for additional advice
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and maintain structure, consistency and accuracy
  • A passion and commitment to your own development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to strongly partner both internally and externally into relevant departments / industries
  • Experience in prioritising outcomes and deliverables and managing time and that of the team, effectively
