Job Description

MEDIA STUDIES – SUBJECT LEADER SURREY 

We are working with a committed, high achieving school who work with their staff and students to gain the best for every child.  A hard task but with the team working together it is getting great results.  We are looking for a Media Studies teacher to not only teach but to take lead responsibility for providing leadership and management for Media Studies department and ensure:

 High quality teaching

Effective use of resources

Improved standards of learning and achievement for all              

You will be responsible for the strategic development of Media Studies within the school.  This will include developing your teaching staff to stimulate and engage students in a positive learning experience in this subject. In addition you will ensure you have an overview of pupils achievements to help identify pupils who are underachieving in the subject, and create and implement effective plans to support those students where necessary

 The role will require you to have an outstanding of education inside and outside of the school in order to analyse and interpret relevant national, local and school data, as well as research and inspection evidence, to inform policies, practices, expectations, targets and teaching methods.
