Hybrid role. Central London. Start ASAP. 3 months initially. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking People team within a purpose-driven environment. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality People service across the full employee lifecycle, while also supporting Talent Acquisition, Learning & Culture, and EDI initiatives.
The Role
As a People Officer, you will take ownership of core HR processes and act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees. You will combine operational delivery with advisory support, ensuring People processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organisational priorities.
You will also work closely with colleagues across the wider People function, contributing to projects that enhance employee experience, inclusion, and organisational effectiveness. £22 - £24ph according to experience,
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding through to offboarding
- Provide first-line HR advice to managers on policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
- Support recruitment activity, acting as a key contact for hiring managers and ensuring a smooth, compliant process
- Act as a superuser for HR systems and the ATS, driving best practice and data accuracy
- Support payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Contribute to Learning & Culture initiatives, including professional development programmes
- Support EDI activity, including governance of networks and embedding inclusive practices
- Ensure compliance with employment law, GDPR, and internal governance standards
- Identify and implement process improvements across People operations
About You
- Experience in a generalist HR role at Officer or Advisor level
- Confident advising managers on HR policies and handling employee queries
- Experience supporting recruitment and working with HR systems/ATS
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of UK employment law
- Interest in culture, learning, and EDI initiatives
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable
