Fixed Term Contract 18 months | Hybrid working

An organisation operating in a complex and fast paced environment is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to play a key strategic role within its finance function.

This is a senior leadership position within a Finance Business Partnering team, acting as a trusted advisor to an Executive Team for a defined business area. The role focuses on driving financial performance, enabling strategic decision making, and supporting the delivery of organisational priorities through high quality insight and challenge.

The role

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading and developing a Finance Business Partnering team, setting clear expectations and driving high standards of delivery
  • Providing strategic financial insight, scenario modelling, and impact analysis to support planning and prioritisation
  • Leading annual budget setting, forecasting, and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Delivering clear and actionable financial reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Partnering closely with non finance leaders to ensure decisions are financially sound and strategically aligned
  • Supporting organisational change by ensuring financial risks and opportunities are well understood
  • Promoting financial accountability, transparency, and improved financial capability across the organisation

About you

You will bring

  • Full qualification with a recognised accounting body such as CIMA ICAEW ACCA or CIPFA
  • Significant post qualification experience in a senior finance or business partnering role
  • Strong experience of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business case development
  • The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior non finance stakeholders
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high performing team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
  • A collaborative and solutions focused approach, with confidence to challenge and influence at senior level
  • Strong Excel and finance system experience is essential, with exposure to enterprise finance systems desirable.
