Special Projects Manager – £27ph plus holiday pay – South West London

Start end of June 2025 for eight months initially

Due to the nature of the post, this role will be campus based with minimal opportunities for remote working. You will predominately be based in South West London, with occasional travel between other sites in South / Central London.

 

We’re recruiting for a Special Projects Manager to support a high-impact curriculum development project within a London-based university. This exciting role will lead on the design and business case for a third programme of study while coordinating a wider institutional review of curriculum delivery and growth strategies across multiple campuses.

 

MAIN DUTIES

  • Lead planning and development for new programme and curriculum initiatives
  • Manage interdependent project workstreams and monitor risk, progress, and stakeholder engagement
  • Write business cases and coordinate market research and industry panels
  • Support curriculum framework reviews and accreditation planning
  • Coordinate governance, reporting, communications, and budget tracking
  • Prepare all relevant project documentation (plans, risk logs, briefs, etc.)
  • Lead project closure activities and lessons learned reviews

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Experience managing complex, cross-departmental projects in Higher Education
  • Proven track record of delivering across the full project lifecycle
  • Skilled in writing professional documentation (business cases, project plans, reports)
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable influencing senior academic and professional stakeholders
  • Able to work independently, take initiative and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiar with curriculum development processes and academic planning
  • Confident using data and research to inform decision-making
  • Able to engage with diverse stakeholders and foster collaboration
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and delivery-driven
  • Ability to be fully office based
