Radio 4 and Tik Tok are sharing a top tip for candidates to beat AI recruitment software. They suggest that adding keywords in white text to your CV will beat the system and get you through the screening process. But does it really work?

The simple answer is NO!

In reality, this tactic is a myth that has been doing the rounds for over 10 years. Many advanced recruitment algorithms can detect hidden text, and this approach can come across as dishonest. Remember ultimately the CV will go to a human who will read your CV. If you cannot substantiate the required skills with demonstratable experience you will not reach the interview stage and nor should you. Apply for the roles you are suitable for. Focus on crafting a CV that genuinely highlights your skills and experience.
