To all our temps working from home.

Sunday, March 15, 2020

In these unprecedented times we wanted to assure you that it is business as usual here at Grays.  Well maybe not quite as usual!  We have battened down the hatches and are currently in the office.  Should we need to work from home you will still be able to contact us through all the usual means.  We are here for any questions, issues or just for an update.

The fact that you have been allowed to work from home is a testament to the trust the department have in you.  Please be conscious of this and make sure you communicate with them just as you would if you were in the office.  If the working from home works for them it has a stronger chance of continuing for you until we get back to normal.  In order to keep things running smoothly I just wanted to raise some housekeeping points:

Timesheets

Please do ensure you complete your timesheets by 11am on Monday.  The authorisers will be working from home too and it may take longer for us to chase them to get timesheets authorised.

Holiday Pay

As usual if you are booking time off do talk to your line manager and let us know when it has been agreed.

Sick Leave

If you are off sick do let you line manager know but please ensure you let us know too.   If you become ill with Coronavirus you should be aware that the Government has recently released a statement stating that statutory sick pay will be payable from day one:

If you’re unsure on what to do and wish to remain up to date.

Clearly, the spread of this virus is escalating and advice is changing daily. Please ensure you continue to monitor local government websites (such as:  https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public) and contact your healthcare authority for specific guidance.

Please KEEP IN TOUCH, we are here.  This is a unique situation and we will provide you with as much guidance as we can.
